Catanduanes Bureau of Jail Management and Penology officers expressed gratis to Agricultural and Rural Development for Catanduanes (ARDCI) during the informal turn-over ceremony of one unit computer donated by the latter on May 20, 2008 at Virac District Jail.

"We are very glad for your effort, someday we can do the same favor for this generosity”, one of the officers acclaimed.

Officers had been long complaining of the outdated facilities they are using and ARDCI’s support according to them is a big contribution for their reportorial tasks.

“For the past long years of public service as institution of correction under the local government code of 1991, BJMP Virac District Jail had never used a computer machine since then. Jail records and reports are made through manual antiquated typewriters”, commented by JO2 Jorge T. Gregorio.

“Community service has no boundary. This is the root of this organization. We always find way of extending our services to our community members in our very own manner”, Chief ARDCI Executive Officer Danilo B. Tiburcio said.

“Our inherent duties to extend assistance are not only confined to rural development of the province but also to government agencies in dire need of it”, he added.

Among the BJMP officers who attended and acknowledged the turn-over of the unit are JO2 Pio D. Magtangob,  JO1 Dennis Taperla,  JO2 Jorge T. Gregorio, JO2 Richard Zuniega, JO1 Enrique Sarmiento, JO2 Dante Tayo, and JO1 Roy Tribiana.

The ceremony was also attended by ARDCI Board President Mr. Edgardo C. Bonifacio and management officers Mr. Danilo B. Tiburcio (CEO), Mrs. Alma T. Villanueva (Operations Head), Mrs. Jannete S. Marquez (Human and Resource and Development Head), and Mr. Marvin Mendoza (IT Technician).

The ARDCI management also assured to send one unit of printer later.
